Traffic Coffee – Gatchatha

Traffic’s second Kenyan of the year and it’s a peaberry—no easy feat to roast, but when it clicks, the brew is pure magic. This Gachatha from the Nyeri region is one of three Kenyans being released this year, and it delivers. Expect bold dark currants balanced with subtle hints of grapefruit and rose petal, making for a brilliant, vibrant cup. Sourced from a small co-op of about 900 smallholder farmers, the cherries are delivered to the Gachatha wet mill where each lot is meticulously graded for bean density, size, and quality. Known for its consistency, Gachatha is a yearly standout, and now it’s finally here.
