On Saturday, November 30th, Pedaal held the first Brompton G-Line Launch in Canada. At the time of our launch the Brompton G-Line had already gotten rave reviews from authorities like the Radavist, Wired, and Cycling Weekly. That’s great, but these reviewers don’t have anything on our customers. Here in Toronto, our customers live in a four-season metropolis that has the third worst congestion in the world. It’s a city full of condos and packed commuter trains where a folding bike makes sense. But, it’s also a city where access to the outdoors is right at your feet, whether its the Ravine Trails, the Leslie Street Spit, or the Waterfront Trail. So, what did our customers have to say about the G-Line? We asked Pier and Heather from Bromptoning to mic up our guests and hear what they had to say!

One of the most common reviews we’re hearing about the G-Line is how it folds like a regular Brompton, but is categorically different in terms of ride. Way more stable, way more sure-footed, and way more fun. Most riders comment that while the Brompton G-Line definitely feels ready for gravel trails, it also feels way more stable in the city, where potholes, streetcar tracks, and bad roads are a constant battle. And while this comes at a slight compromise – the G-Line does fold to a much larger package than the regular 16″ wheeled Bromptons – it still feels 100% manageable. It’s not too big for your cubby at work, it’s not too big on a crowded commuter train, and rolls so easily when folded that it feels like rolling a suitcase. Plus, you really can take the G-Line offroad, just check out Bromptoning’s personal review of the G-Line here.

Test Ride a G-Line Today!

Do you want to take the Brompton G-Line out for a test ride yourself? Well, you can! At the time of writing, Pedaal has Canada’s only G-Line available for test ride. That means if you feel inclined to ride over snow in order to drink tea next to Lake Ontario, you have our full support!

Pre-Order a G-Line

At Pedaal, we think the G-Line might just be the perfect bike. It’s more stable than the original 16″ wheeled Brompton, yet it still folds up just as easily for storage at work or at home – instantly solving the problem of theft. The best thing about the G-Line is that it isn’t just limited to the daily commute. If you want to adventure onto gravel roads, urban bike trails, or hard packed dirt, it really starts to sing. With very few G-Lines allocated to the Canadian market, all you need to do is place a $500 deposit before April 1st, and we’ll see the bikes arrive in early May.
