Brompton calls the G-Line “the brand’s biggest innovation in 50 years,” and we couldn’t agree more. No other bike combines the utility of a city bike with the all-terrain adventure of a longer-distance performance bike. And, all of this in a package that folds up small for the office or international travel. We Canadians identify ourselves by our outdoors as much as we do by our global cities. And, here’s a bike to explore it all! But, with under 200 G-Lines allocated to Canada in Spring 2025 we expect this bike to sell out fast. As a select G-line rollout partner, Pedaal has been promised that each bike sold on pre-order the customer is guaranteed to receive with a target of Q2, 2025. So, don’t delay!

Try before you buy!
For years Brompton has been launching bikes months before they land in North America. A common trend? None of these bikes made it to retail showrooms during their first year. Every model was pre-ordered in advance by eager customers. The G-Line will be no exception. As longtime Brompton retailers, we believe the G-Line is the perfect bike for Canada. And, we’re so convinced of this that we flew to the UK to buy an advance edition so you can test the G-Line yourself.
Brompton has allocated only 200 G-Lines for Canada in the first year. The reason? It has nothing to do with demand, it has to do with supply. Brompton is so meticulous in the production of their bikes that they can only speed up by slowing down. Slowing down is fundamentally tied to human resources. For instance, each Brompton is hand-brazed, and each brazer goes through an eighteen month master-apprentice training course. If demand goes up, more brazers must be trained; but, this takes time. To control supply is to control quality; thus, Brompton has no choice but to be extremely equanimous in their global distribution.
When will my bike arrive?
Production and ocean shipping are moving targets at the best of times, but in our conversations with Brompton the target production date is late Winter. Then we just need to add 4-6 weeks for delivery since they arrive by ocean. Want yours sooner? We are happy to discuss air-freighting your bike for a fee. Either way, we’ll keep close tabs on production time and shipping time and send you regular updates.
Fully Refundable
Like Brompton, we also want to be fair to our customers. On one hand, we made sure to have a bike available for advance testing, and, on the other hand we only ask for a $500 deposit. This deposit is completely refundable up to the point at which the bike arrives in Toronto. Final payment is due on delivery at which time the bike is still refundable for a tw0-week period so long as it is in brand new condition. Any return shipping costs, however, are not refundable.
Why Pedaal?
Pedaal might be the newest kid on the block selling Brompton in Canada, but we’re actually the oldest. Pedaal is owned by Eric Kamphof and Timm Harding – two friends who not long ago were the managing directors of Curbside Cycle. It was under our leadership here that Brompton was first imported and brought to mainstream popularity in Canada. If you own a Brompton and you’re in Canada, chances are good Timm or Eric sold it to you. With Brompton’s support, we started Pedaal to scale up the sales of Brompton in Canada while giving the Brompton community the attention it deserves. As a select G-Line rollout partner, we’ve been promised that every G-Line we sell on deposit is a G-Line that will be delivered.
Shipping across Canada
Do we ship across Canada? Absolutely we do! Shipping to any major city is free with a G-Line deposit. That said, we can ship anywhere in Canada. Just email info@pedaal.com if you’re in a remote spot and want a shipping quote.
