Highly anticipated and certain to sell-out, we are thrilled to have Canada’s first Brompton G-Line! In October 2024 the Brompton G-Line was launched in the UK. In Spring 2025 it is expected to land in the USA and Canada. As one of Brompton’s select G-Line rollout partners, we couldn’t wait until 2025. So, we did some (perfectly above-board) guerrilla purchasing so you can test before the rest. Brompton has only allocated only 200 G-Lines for Canada in 2025, so you’ll want to place a deposit fast. And, with our G-Line test-bike, you can try before you buy!

Pre-order Now!

Since 2006, the owners of Pedaal have been importing Brompton bikes into Canada, witnessing the launch of special editions like the CHPT3, Nine Streets, Bear Grylls, and entirely new models such as the T-Line and Brompton Electric. A common trend? None of these bikes made it to retail showrooms during their first year. Every model was pre-ordered in advance by eager customers.

While this may seem frustrating, it speaks to Brompton’s commitment to quality. These bikes are crafted with obsessive engineering precision in their UK factory. So, while Brompton is able to control the quality of their supply, what they cannot control is demand. For many who already own a Brompton, they already know Brompton doesn’t mess around. So, if you’re convinced and ready, we recommend placing a deposit here. We’ve been guaranteed that each bike we pre-sell will be fulfilled. So, act soon! Got a burning question that needs an answer? Why the G-Line?

As longtime Brompton experts, we’re absolutely convinced the G-Line is the perfect bike for Canada. While it may be bigger, it’s still far easier to carry than competing 20″ wheeled foldable bikes, and it still takes up no room at the office, at home, in your car or the hold of an aircraft. And, while the larger wheels guarantee smoother and more efficient rolling, the longer wheelbase is what solidifies the bikes stability and ride quality. This could be the perfect bike. The small wheels accelerate and manoeuvre in traffic better than a larger wheeled bike. It can be taken into the office or your home; resolving the problem of theft and you can roll it like a grocery cart when you’re running errands.

Need more? Perfect! The bonus level is that a Brompton is your travel companion. Whether it’s a train, plane or automobile (or boat), a Brompton is your ticket to adventure. The G-Line takes this bonus level seriously. It can ride on or off-road, short or long distances, and it still packs up easy in just 15 seconds.

Guerrilla Purchasing

So, how did we do it? How did we get our hands on the first G-Line in Canada, possibly North America? What is “perfectly above-board guerrilla purchasing?” All good questions! Pedaal is half owned by Timm – a genuine British fellow – and that means we have a British shipping address we could ship the G-Line to.  It just meant we had to wake up early on the UK release day, hit the “add to cart” button like it was a Taylor Swift concert (the first release of UK G-Lines sold out in minutes), and then figure out a way to get it to Canada. Luckily, Timm’s wife was in the UK for an academic conference, so our guerrilla purchasing was ultimately supported by the good-timing of the universe. (That’s Luna guarding our G-Line somewhere in London).
