FAQs

Do you bake your own pastries and cookies?

While we’re experts in coffee and bikes, we leave the baking to the professionals! Our delicious French-style pastries are delivered fresh every morning by the talented team at Gouter Bakery. For the city’s best cookies, we’ve partnered with the wonderful folks at Courage Cookies. They ensure we have a delightful selection of treats to complement your coffee.

Do you host events?

Yes, we do! Our cafe is a great spot for a variety of events, from small gatherings and birthday parties to book clubs and community meetups. We also host our own events, like live music nights and group bike rides. If you’re interested in hosting an event here, just get in touch with us to discuss the details and make a reservation!

Where is your coffee from?

Our coffee beans are sourced from all over the world, with producers in places like Ethiopia and Colombia. However, we work with some fantastic roasters right here in Canada to bring you the best brews. We partner with Traffic from Montreal, known for their unique and exciting beans, and Anchored Coffee from the East Coast, who specialize in comforting, dependable blends. We also collaborate with Detour, a Hamilton favorite that’s popular across Toronto, and a specialty roaster dedicated to working with individual producers to bring out unique flavors in every cup.

What our guests say

Tim – the owner, and his host Natalie are possibly the loveliest people to meet at a coffee shop in Toronto. Generous, friendly and humorous. Along with super tasty flat white, Tim demonstrated the neatest new bike trend from Europe. In about 15 seconds he transformed a folded bicycle that weighs next to nothing and could easily fit in your dishwasher, (yup that’s about the size of it folded) into a full-size sturdy urban transport. Very cool. Great gift for a downtown Toronto professional who is always on the move. Bring these bikes into your office and chuck them under your desk, or into your mini-condo and leave them in your undersized closet. Incredible. Oh… they repair bikes here as well.

I had a great experience at Pedaal!
I had a popped tire and they fixed it quickly, relatively cheaply, were incredibly friendly and taught me how I can avoid the problem the next time I encounter it. You can tell Aidan really knows what he is doing and you can tell that he really wants to help grow the biking community in the city.
In addition to fixing my bike I was suggested an Iced Matcha Latte, when I had asked for a recommendation and it was amazing!
Great set of guys working there and even without a busted bike I will be going back! Highly highly recommend!

Like the cold chai latte here. Beautiful style stock Brampton foldable bikes in all available colours. Includes a service station.

Favourite new coffee and bike shop! Fantastic coffee and a really great vibe.

The owners are very friendly and have great bike advice. Welcome edition to the neighborhood

We popped into Pedaal because the coffee looked decent but also because we were interested in the bicycles and services they offer. Both purposes delivered! The coffee was so good, I forgot that I ordered a croissant and accidentally left it on the counter. (It’s ok, it was worth it.) Highly recommend this place even if you don’t like bikes, if you want good coffee. Or, if you want a good bike and don’t drink much coffee (they have other offerings).

So glad to still have a great little local coffee shop in the ‘hood! Plus bikes & bike repair!

Grabbed an excellent oat latte and admired all the pretty Brompton bikes and custom woodwork, then sat outside and people watched in a very comfy chair. I noticed a small selection of baked goods but didn’t check them out too closely.

Will definitely be back regularly, to grab a coffee and some of the good beans they sell. (Especially since Pedaal does an old school loyalty stamp card—gotta earn my free coffee!)
