Pedaal had been open for a mere 1.5 months when MAC Cosmetics contacted us, asking if we’d like to participate in the 2024 Pride Parade. Answer: yes! Emphatic Yes! In fact, we were thrilled! With one Bullitt-X cargo bike full of samples and two Black Iron Horses cargo trikes – there to provide a rolling respite for participants (especially the drag queens in their heels) – Pedaal joined hundreds of Mac employees out to celebrate inclusivity and fabulousness. MAC Pride has a message, and we support this with our own inclusive approach to cycling. Thank you MAC for the invitation and we’ll see you again next year!
With a massive 400 liter box, our Bullitt-X carried enough make-up sampled to last the entire journey down Yonge Street. Nothing turns heads like a cargo bike!
We were extra thrilled to have Jenna from Halifax Cycles in town (right). Halifax Cycles is the exclusive retailer of Bullitt in the maritimes, and Jenna wasn’t quite expecting to be part of the Pride Parade in her vacation plans, but she happily gave out Pedaal Pride stickers and had a BLAST! Thanks for helping out, Jenna!
Fabulous people and a fabulous bike. Pedaal’s mechanic Aidan (second from left) organized the event on our side and made some fabulous new friends at the parade. We weren’t in drag (ooooo maybe next year?) but we wore our Mac Viva Glam shirts proudly!
